US application software company Adobe Systems (Nasdaq: ADBE) has expanded its presence in Latin America with an office in Colombia's capital Bogotá, local press reported.
From Bogotá, the company will cover its business in the north area of South America and Central America. The objective is to establish a closer relationship with customers and distribution channels.
The new office reinforces Adobe's footprint in the region, where it has offices in Mexico, Brazil and Chile.
The Americas accounted for 50% of Adobe Systems' revenues in its fiscal third quarter, ended September 2. Globally, Adobe posted US$1.01bn in 3Q11 revenue compared to US$990mn in the same period a year ago.
