Taiwanese PC maker Acer has announced plans to invest US$30mn in Brazil in 2011, according to local daily O Estado de S Paulo.
Acer, which resumed production in Brazil in early 2010, expects to post revenues of US$500mn this year, the newspaper said, citing Emmanuel Fromont, the company's corporate VP and president for the Americas.
Acer also plans to launch tablets, which have recently secured tax breaks in Brazil, in the third quarter.
