Spanish IT wholesaler Afina will look to grow 27% in Mexico during 2011, local media outlet Infochannel reported Afina Mexico's regional director, Erick Linner, as saying.
The company is expecting to improve its presence in the country and has come up with initiatives for the year such as offering personalized business plans for partners, segmenting the market and strengthening its workforce.
According to Linner, the plans will have three phases, the first being an analysis of partners' business development and goals achieved. The plan will then identify which results to aim for and, finally, determine actions for Afina to take in terms of resources and support.
Afina's technology strategy will focus on delivering solutions for virtual data centers and cloud systems. The company will also promote its 24/7 security operations center and strengthen its portfolio by adding at least three brands.
Linner said the company has work to do in the country in terms of infrastructure, and to tackle this, Afina will segment the country into different territories to identify the best markets. He said Bajío is the first zone the company will focus on for its outreach efforts.
According to Afina Mexico marketing manager Karla López, the company also plans to increase the number of training programs offered to partners.
