Friday, July 22, 2011

Mexico's Colima state has signed an agreement to build a new software development center in the municipality of Tecomán, local newspaper El Financiero reported.

The project will be sponsored by the Asociación Internacional de Mentefactura, Software e Internet, while the land will be donated by the municipality.

"The promotion of the IT sector in Colima is part of the efforts that we've been doing all over the country as part of the digital agenda," said Mexican ICT association Amiti's director, Javier Allard, who added that the initiative will be a specialized center for the logistics, agriculture and tourism industry.
