US contact center platform provider Aspect Software has closed its acquisition of channel partner and compatriot contact center solutions firm Corsidian, which operates in Latin America, the former said in a statement without disclosing the purchase price.
Corsidian has some 100 employees in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Puerto Rico. According to the release, the acquisition - first announced in April - builds upon a channel partner relationship of more than 10 years with Corsidian and helps Aspect to meet rising demand for customer contact solutions in Latin America.
Aspect said it will bring unified communications and collaboration capabilities to regional contact center customers through its partnership with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT).
"Through a combination of Aspect's expanded footprint from the Corsidian acquisition, our Latin American channel partner presence and increasing traction of Aspect solutions for customer contact, the company is well poised for substantial growth in this burgeoning market," said Jim Foy, Aspect's president and CEO.
