Aveva, a UK provider of information management solutions for the plant, power and marine industries, continues to expand its Latin America operation, recording customer wins across the region, the firm said in a release.
"Latin American is a key growth area for Aveva. The engineering software market is a significant outperformer," company CEO Richard Longdon said. "We have won many new customers in the region, including the recently announced Promon Engenharia and Setal Óleo e Gás."
With a focus on oil and gas, the company has worked with the engineering community in Brazil on pre-salt discovery and has seen a significant share of new projects for design tools, including Aveva PDMS, the firm's flagship 3D engineering software.
Aveva's regional headquarters are located in Rio de Janeiro, and the region is managed by Santiago Pena. This year, the company also opened a field office in Bogotá. The firm also has staff in Chile, Peru and Mexico.
