Argentine PC manufacturer Banghó has opened a new facility at the IT hub in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Parque Patricios, local media outlet Canal AR reported.
The company invested US$9.17mn in the plant, joining the other 87 ICT companies operating in the hub.
The 2,600m2 facility is equipped with a semiautomatic manufacturing system expected to produce 80,000 units a month, including notebooks, netbooks and PCs.
Banghó hired 80 employees for this new plant, bringing its total staff to 700.
Present at the inauguration, President Cristina Fernández said the new facility is the result of government initiatives to foster local production and substitute imports.
