Wednesday, March 23, 2011

A day after news emerged that Ecuadorian regulators would require banks to reimburse clients who are victims of electronic theft from their accounts, private banking association ABPE said it would launch a campaign to educate customers on how to avoid fraud.

In a press release, ABPE said the campaign would include advertisements in the mass media, as well on internet via a website.

The press release also says the campaign - called "Knowledge Is Power" - will help increase financial inclusion in Ecuador.
