Ci&T's new delivery center to employ 100 people by end-2012, CEO says

Brazilian outsourcing and software product engineering company Ci&T expects to have at least 100 employees in its Argentine operation by end-2012, and 1,000 people within the next five years, company CEO César Gon told BNamericas.

The company's newly launched nearshore delivery center in Argentina will provide support to existing clients in the US.

"Argentina provides the right mix of talent availability, cultural compatibility, international sophistication, cost competitiveness, infrastructure and proximity to complement our centers in Brazil," Gon said.

According to the executive, the initial investment to open the facility was US$300,000.

The center is already providing services to three clients in the US, and the goal is to work with 10 clients by year-end, he added. "Latin America is still small in our portfolio, but we expect it to become significantly more relevant in the years to come, thanks to our presence in Argentina."

With headquarters in Campinas, Brazil, Ci&T delivers application outsourcing, software product engineering and digital marketing services.

The company also has development centers in Brazil and China and offices in New Jersey and Atlanta, Georgia.
