The Brazil division of Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) posted a 47% year-over-year sales increase during the fourth quarter of calendar year 2010, online news source IT Web quoted Cisco's Latin America vice president, Jaime Vallés, as saying without reporting hard figures.
Brazil's performance beat out the overall 38% rise notched in Latin America during the same period.
Cisco's Latin American channels director, Darío Loriato, attributed both current and future growth in the Brazilian market to channel sales.
The company expects its Latin American channel partners to haul in US$18bn in sales during the next three years.
"Of that total, roughly US$6.6bn will come from Brazil," Loriato said.
