Brazilian cloud-based solutions provider Cloud2b is opening a new business unit in Rio de Janeiro as part of its national expansion kickoff, according to local press reports.
The company is expanding to Curitiba, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre to meet growing demand for cloud computing projects.
Due to increasing demand for cloud solutions, Cloud2b expects to close 2011 with more than 200 projects. The company is also investing in training its workforce to strengthen customer service.
Cloud2b's commercial director, Gilberto Vilaça, foresees increased adoption of cloud solutions due to greater acceptance of their benefits for companies in all segments and of all sizes.
"We have large projects in these economic centers, and we expect to sign contracts for the new functionalities of Salesforce Winter 12 [release] and cloud-based CRM integration projects with legacy management systems," Vilaça was quoted as saying.
"Experts estimate that over 60% of companies will use cloud computing services in 2012, and our goal is to be one of the main providers of that architecture."
Founded in 2010, São Paulo-based Cloud2b has a partnership agreement with US on-demand services provider Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) and is a member of the Salesforce partner academy in Brazil.
