Correction: Atos to invest US$17.5mn in Latin America during 2012, focus on Brazil

Monday, December 26, 2011

In the story published December 22 regarding Franco-Dutch IT company Atos' plans in Latin America during 2012, BNamericas incorrectly reported that the firm plans to invest 3.4mn euros (US$4.4mn) in the region next year.

In fact, the correct investment amount is 13.4mn euros (US$17.5mn).

The story also originally said that Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Chile account for 90% of Atos' total regional revenues, when in fact, those five countries represent 90% of Latin America's total IT services market, according to the company's chief marketing officer for Latin America, Angela Pereira.
