Brazil's data center services market moved US$1.25bn in 2010, a 15.2% increase over the previous year, according to a study by research firm Frost & Sullivan.
"For 2011, the Brazilian data center services market is expected to grow above 13%, outpacing more mature markets," senior market analyst Fernando Belfort said.
A positive short and long-term outlook for the country's economy and overall growth among companies were the main catalysts for outsourcing of IT infrastructure.
Large investments in next generation data centers reflect this strong push in the market during last year and the first months of 2011, according to the study.
Brazil boasts the largest IT infrastructure outsourcing services market in Latin America, where global providers have a dominant position.
