DealerNet expects 25% growth in 2011

Brazilian IT solutions firm DealerNet-Ação Informática grew revenues 23% in 2010 and expects them to rise 25% this year, the company said in a statement without providing hard figures.

DealerNet specializes in management solutions for the Brazilian automobile market, and the company's portfolio includes 1,300 dealerships of Fiat, Ford, Volkswagen and Honda, among other multinational manufacturers. Last year, DealerNet began developing a web-based version of its database software.

Brazil became the world's fourth-biggest auto market last year, as sales of cars and light commercial vehicles grew 11% to 3.3mn, national car dealers association FENABRAVE announced earlier this month. German consultancy Roland Berger forecast last year that Brazilian car sales would hit 4.8mn by 2016 and 6mn by 2020, based on an estimate of 3.1mn in 2010.
