EMC's Latin American revenues up 34% in 2010

US storage solutions supplier EMC saw its revenues increase 34% in Latin America during 2010, the company reported in its latest financial results without providing a dollar figure.

EMC reported all-time record quarterly net profits and revenues during 4Q10. The company's net profits for the quarter rose 61% to US$629mn from the same period the previous year. Revenues for 4Q10 were US$4.9bn, up 19% from 4Q09.

Yearly revenues and net profits were also at record highs for EMC. Earnings for 2010 rose 75% to US$1.9bn. EMC saw its overall revenues for last year grow 21% to US$17bn.

Revenue from business operations outside the US during 4Q10 hit US$2.3bn, showing 19% growth over 4Q09 and representing 47% of total revenues for the quarter.

EMC expects net income of US$2.4bn and revenues of US$19.6bn during 2011.
