Enterasys unit's scope expanded to cover all of Latin America

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

US network equipment and solutions provider Enterasys Networks' Brazilian unit will now be responsible for coordinating all of the company's Latin American operations, the parent said in a statement.

The Brazilian division already runs Enterasys' operations for the Southern Cone - Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay. With the restructuring, it will now manage the Colombian, Mexican and other Central American offices as well.

Enterasys' new Latin America unit will be run by Reinaldo Opice, previously the Southern Cone VP. According to the executive, the rearranging reflects Enterasys' goal of increasing investments in the region.

"Countries whose business was previously coordinated by US HQ now have a Brazil-based coordination office," Opice said. "This regional aligning seeks to maximize synergies between the operations in such countries, to share regional best practices, to further accelerate Enterasys' growth and to provide better services and support for our customers."
