Spanish consultancy everis is expecting 33bn pesos (US$18.6mn) in revenues in Colombia this year, compared to 18bn pesos in 2010, resulting from an aggressive global growth program, local paper La República reported.
On a global scale, the company expects 100,000 employees by 2013 and around 1bn euros (US$1.45bn) in revenues.
The company today has 400 employees in Colombia and expects to increase that number to 500 by year-end. By 2013, the plan is expected to reach 1,000 employees.
Since the company's business is based on human capital, most investments will be made in that area. everis invests 7% of its annual revenues in training programs.
"Our business does not require investments in operations centers or factories, but it does require work hours that people invest for future developments," everis Colombia CEO Javier Rodríguez was quoted as saying.
Rodríguez added that 25% of revenues in the country come from the banking market and 15% from insurance, followed by telecommunications, the public and industrial sectors.
Colombia is everis' second largest market in Latin America after Chile.
everis is a multinational consulting company offering business development and strategy, technological applications maintenance and outsourcing solutions. In Colombia, the company has offices in Bogotá and Medellín, with no short-term expansion plans, according to the paper.
