Finnish security solutions provider F-Secure is focusing on Latin America as a key market to increase its business by 2012, and plans to announce new services for the region over the coming quarters, the company said in a statement.
According to F-Secure, one of this strategy's pillars is to enhance partnerships with major operators across the region.
The firm noted that it has been working, for example, with telecom operator Telefónica in several Latin American countries, expanding the partnership particularly in the third quarter.
In addition, F-Secure recently opened its Latin America headquarter in São Paulo. The company has more than 900 professionals operating in Brazil and in 18 other countries around the world.
RESULTS AND FORECASTS
The company posted 36.6mn euros (US$50.5mn) in revenues in Q3, up 14% over the year-ago period. Ebitda totaled 6.9mn euros.
One of quarterly earnings highlights, according to the company, was the telco services segment - mobile and fixed telephony, pay TV and ISPs - which represented 59% of revenues in the period, or some 21.5mn euros.
F-Secure expects to end 2011 with revenues up 10-12%.
