Chile's finance ministry is seeking consultancies to submit expressions of interest for a contract dealing with implementing and operating an integrated foreign trade system project, dubbed Sicex, the ministry announced.
Interested consultancies have until February 28 to submit documents for the project, which will be funded through part of a loan that the finance ministry requested from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The project will include implementing a single foreign trade system that deals with the flow of document authorization. The project will take place over seven stages, with the first expected to begin March 2012 and the last in May 2015.
Consortiums will be allowed to bid, but the ministry recommends they comprise no more than two companies for the project.
