Brazilian IT governance solutions firm Modulo has launched a new management and monitoring solution, the company announced during the Gartner ITxpo forum in São Paulo.
The new solution is an advanced version of Modulo's Risk Manager and enables the monitoring of "heterogeneous assets like people, equipment, systems, databases, projects and others," said Modulo co-founder Fernando Nery.
"Whatever the area is, the result of the process is usually surprising. Gathering information automatically and generating indicators in a dynamic way encourages and inspires other areas," he said.
IT outsourcing solutions company UOLDiveo announced during the same forum the launch of a new integrated services unit.
The unit will be responsible for outsourcing, testing, quality and payment services. According to the company, most of these services used to be provided by enterprises acquired by UOLDiveo over the last few years.
Local online security company Cipher presented a new generation of an integrated corporate security solution, called MMS 2.0.
The new security portfolio offers fraud monitoring in real-time "and observes internal and external aspects of corporate online security," said Cipher CTO Alexandre Sieira during a panel.
Earlier this year, Brazilian national development bank BNDES purchased 15.5% of the company for US$15mn. Cipher is directing the proceeds toward global expansion, opening a new office in Miami. The firm has domestic offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Porto Alegre, as well as an international office in London.
