Mexican networking products wholesaler Grupo Dice is encouraging its distributors to meet the demands of data centers of all sizes, local media outlet eSemanal reported the company's solutions manager, Felipe Rabía, as saying.
To this end, the company has created a new business unit focused on data centers and creating a network for all its distributors. The center will work to create complete solutions, backed by manufacturers and that bring value to integrators.
According to Rabía, Grupo Dice is focused on using the strengths of its brands to identify opportunities in data centers. Rabía said the company wants distributors to switch gears toward these centers, as they represent new business opportunities for the company.
Internally, Rabía said, the company is working to professionalize its sales force in data center operations, training specialists for distinct applications to complement sales of its solutions. Grupo Dice will split its distributors into segments according to their skills and certifications.
These initiatives have already been implemented as a pilot program in Mexico City, and are expected to arrive soon in other branches of the company throughout the country.
