US customer management solutions provider Amdocs is working on the digital transformation of processes for major carriers in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru.
The so-called digital stack project consists of the deployment of an entire new management platform and the integration of all customer channels, with new solutions of customer relationship management, e-billing and service order management, Amdocs' Latin America VP Edson Paiva told a press conference in São Paulo.
One of those carriers Amdocs is working with is Spanish telecom group Telefónica.
In Brazil, in addition to local Telefónica subsidiary Vivo, a second telco is also going fully digital in their front-end and back-office with Amdocs' solutions. Paiva did not reveal which telco but said he expects at least one of these projects to be concluded this year.
A third carrier, he added, is implementing a smaller, bimodal project.
Amdocs will be showcasing some of its solutions at Futurecom 2016, Latin America's main IT and telecom event, which kicks off next week in São Paulo.
Created 30 years ago, Amdocs has customers in over 90 countries. It provides telcos solutions of network control, operation and business support systems, optimization and network functions virtualization.
Amdocs reported revenues of US$926mn in its second fiscal quarter, up 0.5% sequentially over fiscal 1Q16. In fiscal 2015, Amdocs had revenues of US$3.6bn.
