Huenei expects revenues to climb 30-40% this year

Argentine software developer Huenei expects its revenues to expand 30-40% this year compared to US$6mn in 2010, company CEO Gustavo Commisso told BNamericas.

Revenues last year grew 60% compared to the previous year, the executive said.

Commisso said that the company's operations in Argentina accounted for 80% of the total in 2010. Outside Argentina, Huenei has had presence in Chile since 2008, and in Mexico since 2009.

The company is not looking to open field offices in any other markets across the region in the short and medium term. However, Commisso said that it has clients in the US market.

Huenei ended last year with approximately 40 clients. Commisso said that the expectation for this year is to expand the client base by 20%.

The company's core product is a tailor-made software solution based on Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Java frameworks. Huenei serves clients in the financial, telecommunications and pharmaceutical sectors. It also offers IT infrastructure administration and professional services for large corporations.

Huenei has its headquarters and a software factory in Buenos Aires.
