Infor sees 28% increase in Q4 license revenues

US software company Infor recorded US$130mn in software license sales in the fiscal fourth quarter, ended May 31, up 28% year-over-year, the company said in a statement.

The result marks the second consecutive quarter with double-digit growth in licenses, driven by new product releases, which attracted 650 new clients in the period.

Total sales for the quarter reached US$510mn, a 12% increase from US$454mn in the same period in fiscal 2010.

Infor's cloud-based applications have also increased after a slow start, with more than 500,000 users. In July 2010, Infor announced the release of cloud-based versions of its asset management, expense management and ERP solutions.

Infor is known as an ERP company, but is also involved in providing solutions in other areas such as financials and human resource management (HRM). Worldwide it has more than 8,000 employees, 70,000 customers and 1,400 channel partners.
