US software provider Ipswitch's network management division grew 46% in Latin America during 2010, the company said in a statement without providing hard figures.
According to Ipswitch, growth came from launching WhatsConnected - a solution that helps to cut operational costs - and registration management platform WhatsUp Event Log Management 9.0.
The company also attributed growth to its expanding global distribution channels and growing demand for its network administration product WhatsUp Gold.
In 2011, Ipswitch hopes to see at least 40% growth in Latin America. To accomplish this, the company plans to focus on launching a new version of WhatsUp Gold, as well as a "totally new and innovative" product.
More than 100,000 networks worldwide use WhatsUp Gold, according to Ipswitch. Within Latin America, the company covers Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina in an alliance with Latin American software wholesaler LicenciasOnLine, while Ipswitch serves Brazil through local IT products distributor Network1.
