US software development and distribution firm Retail Realm's business in Latin America could represent approximately 20% of overall revenues in the medium term, company sales manager for the region, Andrea Vesga, told BNamericas.

The firm recently launched its Latin American operation, where it secured extended distribution rights from Microsoft to sell Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management Systems.

According to Vesga, Retail Realm expects to see large business opportunities in Central America and the Caribbean. "We have agressive plans to expand our business in South America, with several actions such as events with Microsoft, webinars and certifications," the executive said.

The company already has a number of partners in each country of the region. "More than expanding our partner network, we are focused on helping these partners to enhance their business and make retail management systems become their major source of revenue," Vesga said.

Retail Realm believes there are significant growth opportunities for the retail management system segment across Latin America. "We already have pre-sale and post-sale structure to help our partners to close deals," Vesga added.

Headquartered in Sonoma, California, Retail Realm is a global company specializing in creating and managing a portfolio of vertical business software solutions, marketed through resellers.
