Legislators propose bill to push computer assembly

Legislators in Peru have proposed a bill to promote computer assembly in the country, according to congress' website.

Part of the bill includes eliminating the general sales tax on imported computer parts, as well as on the sale of computers assembled in the country.

The bill's authors say the goal is helping to reduce the digital gap in Peru.
