Japanese telecoms corporation NEC's Mexican unit has opened a new IT solutions division with offerings in the biometric, cloud computing, virtualization and vertical market areas, according to local media outlet Addictware.
In biometric solutions, the division will offer platforms and products for research and development, fingerprint identification and facial recognition. Additionally, clients will be able to opt for cloud solutions using either the firm's Riacube shared services platform or private clouds.
The division will also offer virtualization solutions such as the company's virtual PC center (VPCC), which integrates software servers and thin clients to optimize IT budgets, security and user experience. The VPCC is compatible with Windows and VMWare products.
For vertical solutions, the new division will offer tools and vertical services for government, telecoms, entertainment, finance, health and retail.
