Brazilian IT products distributor Network1 is seeking to strengthen its presence in Latin America with a keen eye on Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Peru, the company's newly appointed VP for international business, Matt Gharegozlou, told BNamericas.
Gharegozlou's appointment is part of the company's initiative to reinforce investments in its Latin American expansion project.
"We want to take our same history of success in Brazil to Latin America, with our primary focus being Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Peru," he said, adding that Network1's expansion plan includes increasing its presence throughout Central America and Caribbean markets as well.
According to Gharegozlou, the firm's business strategy for those markets has a defined approach: recruiting for and growing the local partner base and expanding the offer of tailor-made solutions.
"Increasing our market share is more important to us than boosting revenues. Of course, we're also looking to continue growing at an above-market pace," he said without disclosing hard figures.
Network1 distributes data, unified communications, mobility, video surveillance and data center solutions provided by several companies, including 3Com, Alcatel-Lucent, Alvarion, Avaya, Axis Communications, HP, Ipswitch, Juniper Networks and Polycom.
