Brazilian software development group Totvs (Bovespa: TOTS3) expects to add some 45-50 new clients in the Southern Cone during 2011, the company's commercial director for the region, Carlos Oettel, told BNamericas.

Totvs currently has more than 300 customers across the Southern Cone.

Last year, the company's business in the region grew 30%, Oettel said. "Over the last few years, we've been expanding our regional revenues by approximately 20-30% a year."

The executive was unable to provide details on expected growth for 2011, but said the company expects to continue expanding at high rates.

Totvs' operations in the Southern Cone include Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. Oettel said Argentina currently accounts for much of the revenues in the region.

Totvs has a total of some 30 channels and integrator partners across the Southern Cone. "We are looking to expand this base across the region," Oettel added.

Totvs' main office for the region is in Buenos Aires.
