Buenos Aires-based accelerator seed fund Nextperience Labs has selected 15 projects for the first edition of its business incubator program, NXTP Labs, the Argentine fund said in a statement.
The program provides young ICT entrepreneurs with seed funding, infrastructure, training, mentoring and interactive marketing services during a four-month cycle.
Nextperience Labs invests value-added capital by providing managerial support for beneficiaries to access a network of service providers, customers and next stage investment capital resources. It also helps the selected companies to generate value by assisting entrepreneurs to plan and define prototypes, business systems, marketing, growth strategies and expansion goals.
Companies participating in NXTP Labs will receive an equity investment of up to US$25,000 in return for a small stake in the company, usually between 5% and 10%.
Selected companies will be housed in Nextperience Labs' offices, located in Palermo Soho, Buenos Aires, where a community of high-impact entrepreneurial companies is expected to provide networking and mentoring opportunities.
Companies participating in the first program include: Altodot (Facebook applications developer), I-Mag (editorial for electronic journals), InBed.me (social platform for the hospitality industry) and Kiuar (marketing based on geolocation and QR codes).
