Israeli contact center solutions company NICE Systems (Nasdaq: NICE) saw its sales in the Americas expand 12% in Q3 versus the year-ago quarter, company CFO Dafna Gruber said in a conference call with investors.
During the quarter, the Americas region, which includes Latin American operations, generated revenues of US$127mn, or 63% of the firm's overall revenues of US$199mn, up 14.1% year-on-year.
The company's global net income in Q3 increased to US$18.3mn from US$12.5mn in the same period in 2010, the company said in its earnings statement.
"We again achieved record revenues for both our enterprise and security businesses with especially strong results in security," company president and CEO Zeevi Bregman said. "We are very pleased with our growth in the Americas, the especially strong growth in Asia-Pacific, and we are pleased to see the improving performance in EMEA."
In Latin America, NICE has an office in São Paulo. The company covers the entire region through business partnerships with integrators and resellers.
