Some 52% of US software giant Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) enterprise clients in Latin America have already implemented cloud-based solutions, company regional VP of sales, marketing and services César Cernuda told BNamericas.
"This is a very significant amount, and we believe that the adoption of cloud solutions among our customers in the region will continue to grow," Cernuda said.
Cernuda also said Microsoft currently has some 70,000 partners across Latin America. The executive said the company has been investing significant resources in training channels to offer cloud-based services.
According to Cernuda, the company is seeing interest in cloud-based services across all countries in the region. Cernuda also said cloud-based solutions are being adopted by a large number of companies within the SME segment.
"Implementing cloud-based services is a very good opportunity for SMEs to have the similar technologies and services as large enterprises without the need of a significant investment," he added.
