Brazilian cabling solutions firm Grupo Policom grew revenues 40% to 120mn reais (US$71.9mn) in 2010 and expects to increase sales 15% to 140mn reais in 2011, the company said in a statement.
The group's Sao Paulo unit, which grew 80% last year, drove the overall surge, with its other four divisions registering 5-10% growth.
Policom returned to expansion after revenues stagnated at 91mn reais in 2009, as the global economy declined and Policom's principal patrons in the corporate market slowed spending, the company said.
With the 2010 results, Policom plans to increase its workforce by 30% in 2011, according to president Gilmar Miralha.
Last year, Policom invested 300,000 reais to launch a solution center, which serves as a showroom for its offerings and as a training lab for employees and partners. Policom sells cabling solutions for voice, data and TV services, among other usages.
