Praxis to expand business by opening 7 offices in Latin America

Bnamericas
Seven new offices in the next 3-5 years are part of Mexican software developer company Praxis' expansion plans for Latin America, Héctor Navarro, operations director of Praxis USA, told BNamericas. According to Navarro, Praxis is planning to expand operations to seek new business. It has already started a project in the Dominican Republic. "We have a plan for Latin America, in countries like Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Argentina, but we don't necessarily wait to have an office in the place to start doing businesses. For example, we've been working for a month in the Dominican Republic on a banking project. Our focus is on the opportunity," the executive said. Although Navarro declined from specifying investments, he said Praxis business director Jorge Abud would shortly announce the expansion plan strategy, including investment and ROI. "This plan will be presented next week [for week beginning Apr 25], but it will be ready [to publish] in May or June," he added. ORANGE BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP Praxis will form a strategic partnership with French solutions company Orange Business Services (OBS) to concentrate primarily on Mexico's financial sector, according to a release from OBS. In the deal with Praxis, the French company seeks to enter the North American market, including Mexico. "The demand for our services in North America has grown rapidly over the last six months and we are committed to a long-term partnership with Praxis. We look for local experience and financial market penetration when choosing regional implementation partners," Jerry Mattiace, regional VP of Orange Business Services, said in the release. Praxis, which has access to 35% of financial institutions in Mexico, will offer local support to customers. It also plans to expand services based on OBS solutions in the country's second largest city, Monterrey.
