Brazilian IT distributor Red Network plans to hit 3.2mn reais (US$1.9mn) in sales of solutions from German IT security firm Astaro, the companies said in a statement.
To reach its target, Red Network is investing in new channels to distribute security solutions. The company has also set up a commercial team to pair with its technical support unit.
Astaro, meanwhile, appointed a new country director to push the German brand in the Brazilian market. The company boosted sales 60% in the country in 2010 and intends to triple sales growth in 2011.
The partners will target new niches for Astaro's network security solutions, while maintaining their focus on services for the SME sector.
Red Network was founded in 1997 and has its headquarters in Sao Paulo.
