Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has named Arthur D Levinson as non-executive chairman of the board, the company said in a statement.
Levinson has been a co-lead director of Apple's board since 2005, and has served on all three board committees - audit and finance, nominating and corporate governance, and compensation - and will continue to serve on the audit committee.
Apple also announced that Robert A Iger, president and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, will join Apple's board and serve on the audit committee.
The company is opening 150 vacancies in the IT sector for several positions, including trainee, programmers, operators, analysts and applications and infrastructure services consultants.
In addition, the firm has also opened management positions at a national level, for those specialized in web technologies, mainframe, ERP and support.

Chilean IT security solutions provider NeoSecure has received Frost & Sullivan's best practices award in the managed security services category in Latin America, the former said in a statement.
NeoSecure, which has seen 30% growth in the last few years, was awarded for services such as vulnerability management, antivirus, access control and endpoint security.
The company was also awarded for its data recovery application and operational continuity plans.
US company Informatica Corporation's (Nasdaq: INFA) VP for Latin America, Carlos André, has been recognized as one of Endeavor's Top 10 Mentors in 2011, company said in a statement.
Established in 1997, Endeavor is a global nonprofit focused on high-impact entrepreneurship in emerging markets.
Headquartered in New York, the organization has presence in Latin America with an office in Brazil.
