US consulting and outsourcing firm Auxis has expanded its Costa Rican service center, the company said in a statement.

The center will provide IT and accounting services to clients in other Latin American countries and the US.

Auxis' Costa Rican facility is in the Ultrapark Free Trade Zone and Business Center.

The South American division of UK systems integrator Logica (LSE: LOG; Euronext: LOG) has named Adriana Carneiro as human resources manager, Logica said in a release.

Carneiro has more than 15 years' experience, which includes a stint with Canadian telecoms equipment maker Nortel (TSX: NT).

The executive holds a degree in administrative studies from Brazil's Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, as well as a graduate degree in information technology from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).


Brazilian IT products distributor Network1 has inked a distribution agreement with US internet security software firm Check Point (Nasdaq: CHKP), the companies said in a joint statement.

Check Point said the agreement aims to strengthen its geographic presence, as well as its SME market penetration.

Network1 distributes solutions related to security, mobility, unified communications, video vigilance and data centers.


Argentine software firm Finnegans has renewed its ISO 9001-2008 certification, the company said in a release.

Finnegans has presence throughout the Americas, as well as in Australia and Europe.
