Brazilian IT firm Bematech has created a new area focused on strategic alliances, the company said in a statement.
The new unit will work on developing new business and mapping opportunities, as well as through partnerships with companies in line with Bematech's strategies.
The unit will be separated into four verticals depending on the focus - products, or partnerships with ERP providers; integrators; retail consultancies; and professional associations.
Brazil's largest software company, Totvs, has launched a cloud-based ERP solution specially designed for SMEs to help them optimize their management, the company said in a statement.
The 1 Online series will initially be available for the legal, services and manufacturing vertical markets.
Since the solution will be based in the cloud, clients will not need to invest in IT infrastructure and can access the solution from anywhere via internet.
The solution includes modules for controlling administrative and operational processes, costs, electronic invoicing and cash flow, among others.

US software company Attachmate has launched the latest version of its family of products for managed file transfer Attachmate FileXpress, the company said in a statement.
FileXpress 7.1 enables IT professionals to manage mission-critical internal and external file transfers, enhance data security, make IT operations more efficient and improve overall reliability and automation of data movement.
The latest version includes large file size support and expanded SSH authentication.
