The Colombian division of US software provider CA Technologies (NYSE: CA) has named Claudia Vasquez as country manager, the company said in a statement.

Before joining CA Technologies, Vasquez served as SAP's (NYSE: SAP) sales manager for Ecuador and Colombia.

The executive has an undergraduate degree in production engineering from Colombia's Universidad de La Sabana.

US company Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) has tapped Alvio Barrios as vice president and general manager for Latin America, Juniper said in a statement.

Barrios most recently served as vice president for US and Latin American operations at network solutions provider Ciena Corporation (Nasdaq: CIEN).

The executive studied electrical engineering at Florida International University.


The Brazilian division of US business process outsourcing (BPO) provider Sitel has cut the ribbon on a new call center in Sao Paulo, Sitel said in a statement.

The facility has capacity for 1,200 workers and will bring Sitel's overall Latin American headcount to 11,000.

Globally, Sitel has a network of 135 contact centers.


The Brazilian division of Taiwanese network solutions provider D-Link has banked a networking tender from Sao Paulo state water utility Sabesp (Bovespa: SBSP3; NYSE: SBS), D-Link said in a statement.

Under the terms of the contract, D-Link will provide 276 products, including switches and network access ports.

The value of the contract, which will last 12 months, is 297,000 reais (US$177,500).
