Argentine software wholesale distributor Cignus has added three new brands to its portfolio of products, the company said in a statement.

Cignus will start offering solutions from G-Data, Device Lock and Virtual Computer. G-Data offers antivirus solutions, while Device Lock develops data loss prevention solutions. Meanwhile, Virtual Computer offers virtualization solutions for desktops.

Headquartered in Buenos Aires, the company also has field offices in Chile and Peru.

The company distributes products from several vendors such as Acronis and Kaspersky.


Manpower Chile has selected US security solutions provider WatchGuard (Nasdaq: WGRD) to implement a perimeter security solution, the former said in a statement.

The deal was reached through the local division of South African IT services provider Dimension Data, which is a WatchGuard partner.


Spanish email security firm Spamina has appointed Luis Quintino as the company's new country manager for Brazil, Spamina said in a statement.

The executive previously worked for NetScreen and Huawei Symantec.

In Latin America, the firm has offices in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico City.


Miami-based Southeast Computer Solutions (SCS), a Sage Select business partner, has appointed Fernando Lollini as senior implementer to serve the company's clients in Latin America, the firm said in a statement.

The recently appointed executive will be based in Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires.

Headquartered in Miami, Southeast has offices in Dallas and Buenos Aires and specializes in ERP solutions for distribution, warehouse automation and manufacturing.
