In April, 4mn people age 15 or older accessed the internet from home or at work in Peru, spending an average of 24.4 hours online during the month, according to a study by consultancy comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR).

Google sites led as the most-visited online property with 3.9mn unique visitors, representing 97% of the entire online population. Microsoft sites followed with nearly 3.6mn visitors, and then Facebook with 3.4mn.

US business intelligence (BI) software producer MicroStrategy's (Nasdaq: MSTR) BI forum took place in Mexico City on June 9, the firm said in a statement.

During the event, the company launched new functionalities for its latest BI tools.


Dominican telecoms regulator Indotel has installed an IT training center in the locality of Jabonico, in Sánchez Ramírez province, the watchdog said in a statement.

The facility has 10 PCs connected to a local network, including a wireless point.


IT security solutions provider Trend Argentina has launched a channel network program to boost sales to the SME segment, the firm said in a statement.

The Argentine company expects to provide specific training for resellers to target the SME segment.

A total of 200 channels will participate in these training activities.
