Brazilian electric utility Cemar has acquired a solution from compatriot industrial automation software producer Elipse, the latter company said in a release without reporting the purchase price.
Cemar implemented the Elipse Power solution to monitor infrastructure such as the company's 35 substations.
Cemar provides energy to 145 municipalities.

The Argentine division of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland has signed up several new clients in the services segment, Softland Argentina said in a statement.
New customers include graphic design firm Girola, agricultural industry consultancy Tecnoagro and building maintenance firm Mark and Donaldson Corp.
Softland Argentina has more than 500 large and medium-sized clients.

Brazilian ICT solution provider Tedesco Tecnologia has signed up 26 new clients this year, the company said in a statement.
New users include firms in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and financial markets.
Tedesco Tecnologia specializes in solutions for companies' legal divisions. It expects overall sales to increase 30% this year.

SAP's (NYSE: SAP) Sybase division has recognized the work of Chilean IT systems integrator Tech 1 Group, the latter company said in a statement.
Sybase granted Tech 1 Group five awards for 2009-10, including best technical support Team and best growth.
Tech 1 Group has represented Sybase in Chile since 2001.
