The Chilean division of international IP connectivity solutions provider Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC) has named David Iacobucci as vice president of sales, the company said in a release.

Iacobucci has worked in Global Crossing for more than 10 years, and has held posts including sales manager and data center product sales manager in Argentina.

The executive holds a degree in systems engineering from Argentina's Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, as well as a master's in business management from the Universidad Católica de Córdoba.

The Mexico and Central America division of SAP (NYSE: SAP) has inked a partnership with Mexican academic institution Universidad Anáhuac del Sur, SAP said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, both organizations will team up to offer new IT management courses.


Argentine construction company Uribelarrea Construcciones has tapped the local division of Spanish IT consultancy firm Crystalis Consulting for software implementation services, Crystalis Consulting said in a statement.

Crystalis Consulting implemented a SAP ERP solution, which includes modules for finances, controlling, supply chain management, sales and distribution and project system.


ICT consultancy Gartner has recognized Peru's Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) for its CRM use, US software company Infor said in a statement.

BCP was a silver level winner in Gartner's media CRM excellence awards.

BCP implemented Infor's CRM Epiphany, which has allowed the bank to increase sales by 40% in 2010, according to Infor.
