Interactive Intelligence (Nasdaq: ININ), a provider of unified IP business communications, has named Pedro Silveira as marketing manager for Brazil.

This is part of the company's strategy to expand its operations in the Brazilian market. With more than 10 years of experience in strategic communications planning - four of them in IT marketing - Silveira has worked in companies such as Altitude Software, CDClip, and Keep on Interactive.

The executive will be in charge of structuring his area and implementing actions aimed at increasing brand awareness in the country, customizing marketing campaigns in accordance with the culture and opportunities the Brazilian market offers.

MediaNet Group Technologies, a global shopping and entertainment community, has named Alessandro Annoscia as COO, starting July 1, the company announced.

Annoscia joins MediaNet Group from Groupon GmbH, and was previously an investor and COO of He also co-founded PointGrow, is a founding investor of and an adviser to Beijing-based startup

The executive, who will report directly to president and CEO Michael Hansen, began his career with Accenture and has held senior positions for Latin America with Microsoft. He has a degree in computer science from Jones College in Jacksonville, Florida.


Brazilian IT firm Benner Sistemas has appointed Elisângela Laumann as software development director, news site Baguete reported.

With more than 13 years of experience, the executive previously worked for Datasul and Totvs. She will be in charge of cloud computing projects and will look to drive companywide growth of at least 32% this year.

The executive holds a degree in information technology from Brazil's Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina.


The DatacenterDynamics Expo conference will be held in Bogotá on September 19, according to a statement from DatacenterDynamics.

The event addresses the challenges faced by data center owners and operators, as well as the new architecture needed for an exponential growth of data, along with energy efficiency and security requirements.

The event will also be held in São Paulo (October 3-4), Mexico City (October 27), and Santiago de Chile (in December).
