Roundup: Nvidia, OnSet, Grupo Softland, Global Crossing

The Latin American division of US tech firm Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA) has appointed two executives to new positions, Nvidia said in a statement.

Marcio Aguiar will take the reigns as the Quadro product line sales manager in the Southern Cone. Aguiar has seven years of 3D computing experience, with a degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University.

Arnaldo Tavares will take over as Tesla product line sales manager in the Southern Cone. Prior to joining Nvidia, Tavares worked for tech firms such as GPlus and Verari Systems.

Brazilian ICT consultancy OnSet has hired Argemiro Leite as CEO, OnSet said in a statement.

Leite has more than 35 years of IT experience, and most recently served as the CIO of Johnson & Johnson in Brazil.

OnSet has presence in São José dos Campos and São Paulo, as well as partnerships in Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro.


The Argentine unit of Spanish administration software provider Grupo Softland has signed up several new manufacturing sector clients, the company said in a statement.

New customers include garden furniture manufacturer Posta, Novmonflo and Alex Mecanismos - all of which have implemented Softland ERP solutions.

Softland Argentina saw sales rise 25% last year.


The Chilean division of French wellness company Sodexo has tapped international IP connectivity solutions provider Global Crossing (Nasdaq: GLBC) for IT optimization, Global Crossing said in a statement.

Global Crossing assisted in the virtualization and consolidation of Sodexo Chile's IT platform.
