Santander Brasil (NYSE: BSBR) has acquired a database solution from Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL), the latter company said in a statement without reporting the price tag.

Santander Brasil implemented the Oracle Exadata Database Machine to help integrate data related to its recent acquisition of Banco Real.

The Brazilian bank also purchased Oracle data warehousing and online transaction processing solutions.

Mexico IT association Canieti will present its digital agenda plan to the federal government on April 11, Canieti said in a statement.

The event will take place at the MIDE museum in Mexico City.

Canieti's digital plan contains policies designed to help Mexico increase its ICT competitiveness and also spur domestic technology adoption.


Brazilian software development group Totvs (Bovespa: TOTS3) has overhauled the SaaS versions of all its solutions, the company said in a release.

Totvs' SaaS offering will allow clients to modify the number of workers using the solutions on a monthly basis without giving prior notice.

More than 2,000 Totvs clients have opted to receive their software via this model.


US developer BMC Software (NYSE: BMC) has recognized Chilean business service management provider Extension, the latter company said in a statement.

Extension received BMC's Top Emerging Markets Solution Provider award.

Extension is a BMC elite partner, and the US firm accounts for the majority of its sales.
