Grupo Unicomer, a consumer electronics, appliances and furniture retailer serving Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean and the US, has selected Oracle's retail store solutions to support its growth in international markets, Oracle said in a release.

Unicomer will use the Oracle offerings, including Oracle retail point-of-service, Oracle retail back office and Oracle retail central office, to provide a consistent customer experience and faster checkout times across its chain of retail stores in 18 countries in Central America and the Caribbean.

US trading technology solutions provider UNX and INTL Trading have teamed up to deliver customized electronic trading solutions for Mexican and Latin American markets through the UNX Catalyst trading platform, the two companies said in a statement.

As part of the partnership, the firms are collaborating to develop functionality specifically for the Latin American client base and region. INTL Trading will be able to integrate its proprietary intellectual property into Catalyst for its select client base using the Catalyst Software Development Kit.

"This agreement affirms our commitment to invest in delivering our next-generation trading technology to such increasingly important markets as Latin American and Mexico," UNX CEO Thomas Kim said.

Founded in 1999, UNX is a trading technology firm and agency broker that provides advanced electronic technology for the institutional trading community.


Mexican media group Grupo Multimedios has selected US data mashup driven dashboard and reporting solutions provider InetSoft Technology's style scope solution, the latter said in a statement.

Through this solution, Grupo Multimedios will be able to create sophisticated enterprise data visualizations that summarize sales and operations data for top executives.

InetSoft delivers business intelligence (BI) software that makes it possible for organizations and solution providers to deploy or embed full-featured BI solutions.


US Linux operating systems provider Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) will hold its road show in Chilean capital Santiago on July 5, the company said in a statement.

The event will focus on platform as service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions.
