Canadian e-commerce solution provider PayPro Global has signed a partnership with Boleto Bancário, the most popular solution for online payments in Brazil, the former said in a statement.

The most recent portfolio addition allows online software vendors to increase their presence in Brazil's market, offering customers a secure, risk-free, popular payment option that they can trust.

"Brazil is one of the fastest growing software markets in the world. Offering such a popular local service will greatly increase the revenues of our partners," PayPro Global CEO Matthew Silverman said.

Founded in 2006, PayPro Global develops and hosts an e-commerce solution that allows anyone to easily sell software online.


Chilean IT company Manager Software, part of compatriot human resources software provider PayRoll Group, has appointed María Victoria Puentes as general manager, the company announced in a statement.

Puentes was previously commercial manager of Sonda's SAP and ORDEN divisions.

Puentes will be in charge of planning, managing and controlling the company's ERP software solutions, with a focus on software as a service (SaaS).

Manager was acquired by PayRoll group at the beginning of 2011 for an undisclosed amount.


In April, nearly 13mn people aged 15 or older accessed the internet from home or at work in Argentina, spending an average of 26.9 hours online during the month, according to a study by consultancy comScore (Nasdaq: SCOR).

Microsoft sites led as the most-visited online property, reaching nearly 12.4mn unique visitors and representing 95.1% of the entire online population. Google sites ranked second with nearly 12.3mn visitors (94.3%), followed by with 11.5mn visitors (88.6%).


Power, gas and water measurement and control provider Elster (NYSE: ELT) has launched a new three-phase disconnect electric meter solution for the Latin American market, the firm said in a release.

The electric meter enables utilities to remotely shut off power from a single location.

Elster's offering includes distribution monitoring and control, advanced smart metering, demand response, networking and software solutions.
