Brazilian IT company PC Sistemas has opened an office in Porto Alegre, the company said in a statement.

Through this new facility, located in Rio Grande do Sul state, the company will provide support to some 50 clients in the region. Some of the firm's clients are Himalaia Distribuidora, Cervo Sul, Podal, Freitas Atacado, Atacado Joinville and Bento Sul.

The company has eight offices across Brazil.

US sales performance management (SPM) solutions provider Callidus Software (Nasdaq: CALD) will participate at the second annual sales and marketing excellence Brazil congress as a gold exhibitor, organized by eyeforpharma, the former said in a statement.

The event will be held June 15-16 at the Pestana Hotel in São Paulo.

At the event, Callidus will showcase its recently announced app MySalesCoach, a next-generation coaching application for the iPad based on Callidus ForceLogix SalesForce Optimizer. The new application increases the effectiveness of pharmaceutical sales forces by enabling users to easily collaborate on winning strategies in the field, in the context of deal engagements.


US software company Infor has launched a new channel partner program, the firm said in a statement.

The new program, called Infor Partner Network, will offer new benefits and training, Infor said.

Infor has more than 70,000 clients in 125 countries around the world.


Brazilian university Universidade Federal do Ceará has selected global provider of geographical information system (GIS) software and solutions SuperGeo Technologies' SuperGIS Desktop Lab Kit and GIS Learning CD solutions, the former said in a statement.

The deal was made through SuperGeo Technologies partner Engesat.

SuperGIS Desktop is a set of desktop GIS software that enables powerful capabilities in editing, managing, visualizing and analyzing geographic data.
